bad parents? (2 Viewers)

But I am of the opinion a fucking child, who doesn't know any better, relies on their parents better judgment to make decisions for them and dressing them in a garment with THAT kind of slogan on it is just fucking wrong.

Claiming they are innocent & too young to know what it means is no fucking defense whatsoever.

Jaypers dudes, calm down will yiz. Ian hardly "knowingly" misconstrued what I said, I'm just not explaining myself very well.

Lookit, I don't think a kid wearing a "future porn star" t-shirt is "just fucking wrong". It creeps me out a bit to see it, but that's about me rather than them, and I'm sure as fuck not going to condemn another parent for how they dress their kids (or which of their childrens' incessant demands they give in to) so long as what they're doing is not clearly bad for the kid.

No egg,yer not.

These t shirts are lame and shit but its really no harm.Unless you have a modicum of self respect.

But the Mams who put this shit on their kidz backs would be all like...LISTEN YIS STUCK UP PRICKS,I've more to be worrying about than some poxy t-shirt my daughters gonna grow out of in two months..like feeding them their chips, keeping them safe from traffic etc...so shut the fuck up yis judgemental cunts..

I'm not saying she's right, but thats what the argument she'd put up would be..

he either didn't understand what you said or knowingly misconstrued what you said.

I myself knowingly misconstrued what he said for the sake of some cheap controversy though! Sorrys

Group hug.

You all know my opinion about the tshirts.

I'm just going to leave it at that.

EDIT: PS it was the "adrian kennedy mentality" that wound me up. Apologies for getting cross.

I agree with your "the kids don't get it", which is true.

There are normal qualms people have by seeing children being exploited for lulz by foisting inappropriate things on them. They are either using the kids to shock or perhaps more charitably there is a joke going on between the parent and the rest of the world from which the child by their innocence has been excluded. It's nasty.

However,

The kid won't always not understand. Will a time come when the kid asks "can I wear my porn star t shirt" and the parent says "no, you are too old for that now"

I think the problem I have is that, even though the kid's mightn't get it they are still being habituated to dressing inappropriately. It's not like a time will come when the same parent will say - "time to tone it down now darling - you are not 6 anymore"

Er, why not?

I suppose if it doesn't worry the parent now why would it suddenly do so later.
And I guess I think the parent who puts their kid in a Future porn Star t-shirt is most likely a shit parent and not likely to

So basically we should be able to tell other parents what their kids can wear?

I don't know how you are getting that from what i siad.
people can dress their kids how they like.
I just think it's crass.

I think it's crass as well.

going back a few posts (for the sake of drawing out this argument as I have a few mins to kill)

So therefore kids shouldn't wear those clothes?

Or

therefore I think they're bad parents but I think it's ok to be a bad parent as long as it's being a bad parent to your own kids?
