does anyone know what is it we export that costs 95 million?? i'm pretty sure some news said we have lost 95 million in exports. i'd like to know what it is.

apparently its high-tech gadgetry for the medical sector. Some kind of specialised equipment for this, that and the other.

soon to be replaced with an iPhone app that does the same thing though so we're fucked either way.

Please spare a thought for Masterchefs Gregg Wallace. He's stranded in Tenerife with his "stonking" 27 year old girlfriend because of the volcanic ash in Iceland.

Statement on Icelandic volcanic eruption: Monday April 19, 2200

Since our last statement at 1530 today, the volcano eruption in Iceland has strengthened and a new ash cloud is spreading south and east towards the UK. This demonstrates the dynamic and rapidly changing conditions in which we are working.
Latest information from the Met Office shows that the situation is worsening in some areas. Based on this information, the situation for Northern Irish airports for the morning is uncertain, due to the new ash cloud. The latest information shows that Scottish airports should be available from 0700 and more airspace over England may become available from 1300 although not as far south as the main London airports.

oh-ee oh-ee oh-ee
incidentally, the pronunciation, as far as i can get my head round it, is apparently:
EYE-a-fjud-LAY-yokudl
said very fast

OH NOES! IT'S THE

ASH UPDATE

Since our last statement at 2100 (local time) yesterday, the volcano eruption in Iceland has strengthened and a new ash cloud is spreading south and east towards the UK. This demonstrates the dynamic and rapidly changing conditions in which we are working.
Latest information from the Met Office shows that the situation is variable. The information shows that Scottish airsports should be available from 0700 (local time) and more airspace over England may become available from 1300 (local time) although not as far south as the main London airports.
We will continue to monitor Met Office information and the situation is likely to change during the course of the day. We will make a further statement at approximately 0900 (local time), today, Tuesday 20 April.

as a point of interest, april 20 is hitler's birthday, the day faith no more disbanded in 1998, my parents' wedding anniversary, and the date of the columbine shootings.

Everything you are about to read is true except fo the bit about the bull fighrer:

I just got trapped in Spain - I went for 3 days, ment to fly out Sunday but of course couldn't.....After many other options Iand queues and booking) that were cancelled we eventually got a Ferry to Santander to Portsmouth that took 25 hours with no cabin...We ended up in the barsection that had 'entertainment' that was like retard hi-de-hi til 2am...We hit the UK about 5pm the next day..

We then got a train to London and the to Holyhead (via various connections) and eventually a ferry to Dublin 6am yesterday..

What a trip...to be honest we we lucky and made connections. And I left my spanish bull figher figure on the boat....
