This morning it was "Boy and bear singin" - i.e. the Bear Necessities out of the Jungle Book, so maybe Toots is out the window now

I got this in the post

http://www.zooglobble.com/archives/2006/10/review_the_family_hootenanny_v.html

Released earlier this year, the album is inspired by years of occasional Family Hootenanny concerts in which Detroit rockers let their hair down (or, as the promo materials put it, "pulled it from their faces") for family-oriented shows.

It's actually quite good

course I know the best kids song ever is by Mumblin' Deaf Ro'.. but i don't think it'll ever get a general release...

Actualy, if it's the one i did for your nipper I'd be on for doing it live with the band at some stage if you fancy doing ther guitar solo.

Seriously.

okay!

I haven't heard it in about two years, but yet I can actually remember every word and note of it.... it's like it's etched on my brain box...

"I am the baby and I know my rights"

cool - I'll hold you to that. Emmet probably has it - he's my archivist and gives out to me for not having copies of old stuff.

Can't go wrong

A Ro kid's song??? Fucken hell Ro, we want to hear it
(and I want to hear those rough mixes!)

The song is very rough - I always mean to to rerecord it - I might see if I can get an MP3 or something. It was part of a compilation of songs put together for Pantone's daughter where loads of people wrote kiddie songs. I wrote mine before the baby was born. It's about a mean cineam usher who won't let the mother into the film unless she buys two tickets, as the baby will hear the ending from the womb. The baby then (in a baby voice) threatens to avenge this slight against its mother.

(Cormac - Rough mixes being finished by mr Redtape and will be sent to you shortly.)

Wow! Lucky Éala!
There are no Stoat kiddie songs, really - there's loads of egg_ and Mrs. egg_ songs about brushing hair and how you shouldn't be afraid of washing machines and of course the "yes/no/maybe/dunno" song. And John has a song about putting poo in the toilet. Not really Stoat songs though, and unlikely ever to be recorded, I would say

it's actually a bizzare recording I think I was initally a bit freaked out... but I love it now, though it is not at all MDR like...

"I know my rights...

*pause*

I know my rights..."
