I'm gonna get a bottle of whiskey and sit in the park and see if I can hear Tom Waits. If I can't it's off to my sister's house to listen to his cds, cry, and try to play my own versions of his songs on the piano.

The Dun Leery Trad Festival is on and there's some super musicians playing that - that I can remember...Paddy Glackin of the Bothy Band is playing one night. Another night there's two awesome singers Muireann Ni Amhlaoidh from Danu and Julie Fowlis from Snotland. There's bound to be some cool sessions on in DL during the days and evenings too so. I can't find any info online but it's in the Pavillion theatre and it's deffo on that weekend.

that was great last year. Even though the first day was rained off.

Didn't see the lineup for this year yet but I reckon it'll be worth checking out, even if just for the great atmosphere generated in the place.

Edit: balls, all tickets are gone. Though last year you didn't need them when you went down there. The bouncers had wads of them for giving out. Still, don't think I'd venture down without one.
