I got a bow in music minds on liffey st for €25
the following day when i realised bows need rosin, i got a cheap block of it in goodwins for €4

jury is out whether the whole enterprise is going to be a dud.

but i just sold some gear so i have money burning a hole. ordered a volume pedal last night which might get the effect I am after.

Any instrument shops that sell violins or cellos. They do a budget bow for beginners, you don't need anything fancy for a guitar. You do need plenty of rosin on the bow though so be sure to buy that too.
yeah always thought theyd be much cheaper on thomann
than in a shop here.
wrong presumption on my part

This is fucking deadly alright..although I always think with things like this one would be FAR better off getting a keyboard

Mooer slow engine might do the job?
funny, i saw one of those on adverts the other day and thought it could be useful. gone now, but i think the volume pedal and some delay will be what i am after.

same ad has a mooer lofi machine for sale which is tempting, despite having no use for it.

volume knob and delay if you've a strat type setup. not ideal but workable if its just a few phrases.

Actual bows are shite on guitars and they destroy the strings with rosin

Matt Bellemy from muse had a Kaos pad fitted into his guitar a few years ago

Its probably just me but matt bellamy's playing makes me want to sit in a room with him and tell him that he's been on a downward creative spiral for years. And I absolutely love his early guitar work. And the solo in 'invincible'.

Gaz is right in fairness. I might have too much rosin on this thing, but it is breaking balls covering the guitar. Gets between the binding leaving a white powder.

You can have a (forever) lend of mine if you want before you pull the trigger.
