I want to not check every hour
Generally podcasts are uploaded on a specific day each week. Refresh your feeds (usually a singly screen click on your phone) on a given day to download whatever is new.

I want to not check every hour
I guess I'll just live with it.
X-Files has really had one hell of a revival the past 2-3 years or so
If only the second film had waited a little longer...
started listening to a new podcast by the makers of This American Life. Called Serial.
For folks that are into true crime and like the structure of the This American Life podcasts. 2 episodes released so far, have listened to one. really liked it. without giving anything away, about a teenage murder that took place in Maryland back in 1999. Boyfriend found guilty of killing girlfriend. Lot of loose ends/stones left unturned for a variety of reasons. apparently there are upwards of 10 episodes all dealing with that specific case.
anyone give this a go? 6 or 7 episodes in now. completely hooked. look forward to new episode every Thursday as much as I have for any TV show or whatever over the years. so bloody good
I just got a text from a friend telling me to listen to this
She is secretly listening to it in work
@7 - No tomorrow that podcast you recommended to me, the Grantland pop culture one, had a big interview with Alex Blumberg a few weeks back, did you listen to it? They went into great detail on the appeal of podcasts and stuff, was super interesting.
People finding out about Serial is rapidly becoming the same as people finding out about your favourite band.
Ha. I just listened to them all over the last few days. Then I listened to the Slate review of the podcast podcast. And then I looked it up on reddit and wished I'd been able to resist that urge
Wait, I should avoid the Slate thing?
There are spoilers?
I have my own issue with the show
Slate things are just reviews of the episodes with some people giving their own thoughts on the ethics of the show, theories etc.
The spoilers are for the episode but they also talk about what they think might happen in upcoming episodes.
