Hey folks,

I want to upgrade my bog-standard solid state peavey bandit guitar amp that I've had for years to a fancy all-tube affair like a vox or fender, because that would make me feel like a big man.

However, I can't really afford to drop several hundred euros on an amp in one fell swoop. Therefore, I am wondering: does anyone know if any guitar stores in Dublin do hire purchase deals on pricier items, whereby I could put down a deposit, walk out with the amp that day and pay it off in instalments?

Can't really seem to get confirmation of this from the various websites (waltons etc) I have visited, so any wise words would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Ps. Anyone want to buy a peavey bandit amp? In decent nick!

A small personal bank loan would do the same thing? (thinking of doing this myself too because my three amps aren't enough apparently).

Don't buy anything on HP.

Stupid fucking finance terms and if you don't pay it all major problemmos.
Bad business.

Save up.Thats the only way.And buy a proper Marshall or Fender off adverts. You do get MAD bargains on there if you look hard enough.,

Or borrow offa credit union or bank like AP said.

Also..I've gigged with a bandit..fucking great amps.

Theres an all valve Peavey 40watt Bandit that is the fucking SHIT.Saw one go for 200 in Dublin a couple years ago.

Cheers for the advice! Wise words indeed.

Only problem that I can now foresee is that I am legendarily terrible at saving.
