Acts touring that don't come here (1 Viewer)

Can we add Aldous Harding. She cancelled both support of belle & Sebastian and electric picnic but had played UK dates the same weekend as electric picnic.

There is a few smaller UK based acts that i haven't seen dates for playing ireland like xylaroo, the drink, micachu (though i think they supported tuneyards in 2012 or so) and 2:54

i went to see them in leeds a few years ago and wurster told me they did eventually get some money

there was a thread on Thumped years ago about great gigs that had been poorly attended
and the SUPERCHUNK gig at the Mean Fiddler was mentioned
as i remember the person said it the last gig at the venue under the Mean Fiddler name.
they also said 'CHUNK were great and were playing audience requests.
i also seem to remember the person predicting -' they'll never come back'.
i had no idea they had ever played here until i read that.

in particular it's very hard to get bands from Europe to come here.

With his impeccable musical taste, I wouldn't be surprised!

The new eponymous album is most enjoyable:

Just stumbled across this. Did Band of Susan's play here in 91?

Why does Leagues mention Steve Albini as a New York artist? I thought he worked from Chicago?

I was doing flyers etc for Whelan's/The Village around the time Superchunk played. I remember being asked to put the gig on a flyer. It was a weird situation of something like... oh this gig is happening this week, you better include it somewhere. It was the first I'd heard of it. Connect four orchestra supported.

I see aldous Harding's name does the great vanishing act again as it has disappeared from ads for support of the national in donnybrook stadium.

Maybe the fourth time she is advertised for playing ireland, she'll be there
