Saw this over on bargain alerts on boards. If you're a member of your local public library, you can access the Zinio catalog of digital magazines. The 'big' ones on offer are the likes of The New Yorker, Economist, Newsweek, Fast Company, Wired, Q, Rolling Stone (Aussie version), Uncut, Mojo, Kerrang!, Vogue, Elle, OK!, Hello, Radio Times, National Geographic. Something for everyone.

You can get access straight away if you don't have a library card. Go here & create an account, you'll be issued a temporary library number. Then head on over to the Zinio catalog & register using the library number. You can view the magazines in your browser (flash free) or on your iPhone/iPad/Android. Handy if you have a tablet lying around.

I've done this (on my phone), it's pretty sweet. Need to do it more. Last I checked they had most of the Future mags too like Total Film and they got them before the paper copies were even on the library shelf.
