Looking for a good start-off SLR camera.

...you had me at casualBilly was my first love Ernesto.
He always has that special place in my heart.
Let's be honest here, you were never anything more than a casual casual easy thing.
difference between that and the 1000D?Canon 450D if you could stretch that far.
difference between that and the 1000D?
howso young Mooso? The 450d is an awful lot better but dearer too.
howso young Mooso?
i thought they were essentially the same bare the sensor resolution?Except the Nikon D40. It's only 6MP. The D40x however, is 10MP and is a much better camera.
Of the top of my head..difference between that and the 1000D?
Of the top of my head..
9 focus points to 7
3" lcd screen to 2.5" ( def makes a diff IMO)
12mp to 10
3.5 fps to 3fps
It also has a nicer shutter.
While its dearer it def is worth an extra few weeks to stretch and get it.
/just seen Moose's last reply lol
I also left out spot metering which tbh is what I use most of the time now.
There's one of those magazines/book things in Eason' etc., about getting the most from your Canon DSLR at the moment. Well worth a grab and better and more "colourful" than the manual.
Probably about the fourteen euros mark.
