2020 Music In Lists (2 Viewers)

Some woeful musical writing in there. It reads like the kind of drivel I churn out in marketing here.

Anyway, lists lists lists:

Fiona Apple erasure by the Quietus there. Taking a stand.

They have WAP as the second best song of the year. Song???? Take away the controversial lyrics & video and what's left....fuck all. Pure shite.

Rap? Here let me tell you, I call it CRAP.

and that George Michael, he has a lovely voice but why does he dress like that?

and black people, they're always in colour these days, I preferred them when they sang in black in white.

It's nothing to do race, rap, & and other phobia you're throwing at the wall.
I just don't think it's much of a song....in my very humble opinion.

What's wrong with a bit of Beat Surrender? Had a melody you could sing along with.

The video is good.
Although I prefer the one Shakira & Rihanna did.
A lot less surgical intervention.

Same top 3 albums there

Fetch the Boltcutters is the first Fiona Apple album with a few songs where I was cringing on them.

I'll have to listen to the Waxahatchee album so

I have nothing to add to this thread. I bought a few albums pre-lockdown-1. Some of them possibly from 2020. I got a handful in the post during lockdown, and I went on one record-buying binge between lockdown-1 and lockdown-2, but that was mostly not new stuff, or RSD stuff.

I haven't even made it through the Sufjan album, fully, yet.

So my top 20 albums of the year contains the only 3 albums I can think of that I bought that were actually from this year.

1: A winged victory for the sullen's one
2: Tim Burgess' one
3: Sufjan Steven's one

maybe I got more than that. I dunno.
