Micachu And The Shapes are now going under the name Good Sad Happy Bad. Think there’s an extra member. Their new album Shades is an absolute cracker. Less Mica Levi vocals, giving over the reins to the keyboardist. Whole thing sounds amazing. Highly highly recommend. Less abrasive and rough around the edges as most of their stuff. Little bits of sax in there also now.

close to burning out this album. Can't get enough of it. Big bang of Nirvana off it at times. Especially this tune

this album is really great, but also totally bonkers

collectively-sung korean folk stories over bouncy new wave, or something like that

Reluctantly putting this here.

Guitar sound seems a little thin. Should have just got Albini in and pressed record live in a living room. No fapping about.

Only three tracks, so hard to get a feel. Like the bang of that Jer Bang track.

They're a bit of an anomaly in the current bands market. Too slick, jocky and mathy for the no-fi "shit gaze" noise-punk that emerged from the 00s on [Hospitals being the best of this mostly forgettable rebranding of eh, noise rock...] Pig fuck, is that what they call it. Marvel at the minds of music journalists - pig fuck. "What will we call this subversive brand of sloppy, experimental deviation from hardcore and punk, boys?" "eh, I'm conjuring an image of eh pigs fucking, guv." "Fine work, my boy. Pig fuck." "Pig. Fuck." "Yes, pig fuck - print that next to Paul Leary's pretty, leering face."
