Speaking of LA pop punk, I have never heard of the Illuminati Hotties before today but am liking this new album mixtape thing by them/her.

You'll notice that Lili likes the samba-influenced song, dunno if there's any country influenced songs on it.

Just got wind of this

Songs of Peace & Happiness by Brickroad. Which is the alias of Ethan Bokma.

Modal-type, drawn-out Terry Riley vibes tip to my ears. Very pleasing.

This is great- thanks for the tip

A few things that have been on my radar of late:

A Dublin tape label called Where The Time Goes, not sure who is behind it but they've put out a fairly solid run over the last few months, mainly on the downbeat/ambient/drone side of things eg.

Also Abstrakce, a Spanish label dealing in various synth abstractions- they have a series called The Encycopedia of Civilisations which are pretty lush records and artwork- latest is here

Cool, @shitepipe Liking the sound of that Nashpaints. Will check the others in due time.

On an unrelated note, this album from Dublin noiserock group called Shifting just released today.

A no-brainer if you like to be smacked in the face to ominous, David Wm. Sims bass, with £5000 Travis Bean guitars that could probably take the roofing off your house.

Complete bang of Skingraft Records off it.
