Great album. folk/electronic. Reminds me of Robert Wyatt at moments.

I've been trying to like this Lauren Bousfield album but I'm struggling, it's too much, I haven't got all the way through it yet.

Jesus, busy innit. I feel like crouched over a laptop may not be the best atmosphere for listening to this. The comings and goings of modern* electronic music has long since left me on the shore [2011 from then on]

This came in the mail a few days ago. It's much more soothing.

Sounds class on vinyl.

Nice stuff. Big Ellen Fullman fan here- she was part of the absolutely stunning Unsound festival opening gig last week which is archived here and was pretty damn amazing:

A 1.5 hour improvised piece by 15ish musicians/groups all over the world, somehow connected realtime to be able to perform as a group, spearheaded by Nicholas Jaar- including Ellen Fullman, Laaraji, Ka Baird, Senyawa plus a bunch more. Well worth sticking on the telly with a good soundsystem and turning the lights down low.

This is like a facsimile of Polvo when they reformed. Wandering, loping guitar lines. Langourous, sultry noodling. The fella's voice is also pure Ash Bowie.

I've been meaning to check this album out for a while, the 'digital grindcore from Kenya' description piqued my curiosity. Anyways, saw them do a set at Tusk festival online last night which was actually scary as fuck so have been giving it a whirl today. Not for the faint of heart but it is quite the rush

Some nice laid back retro psych jams on this. Quiet similar to the soundcarriers. The female vocals are reminiscent of the late Trish Keenan of broadcast. Other parts sound like early Pink Floyd. Loads of hippie flute as well. No sniggering.
