The Necks Body is an excellent album to play chess to

Got around to it tonight. It's really something. Was lying on the couch listening on headphones. Got totally engrossed for the first 20 minutes and then started dozing off (it's been a long day). Then that bit where it really kicks off about 30 minutes in or so completely scared the shit out of me. Brilliant. Rocking out!

Had a listen to it while I went running earlier. It's great.

I’m completely turned off by the cover. They’re a band I don’t really get the fuss about. The Year of the Pig compilation is great but Chemistry of Modern Life album (which everyone raves about) is fucking woeful.

I listened to the first three minutes of that and turned it off ..the production on the guitars was great but the singing is played out

It's pretty out there for them, I'd have said, but I haven't listened to them in years so I was pretty surprised. It's like a broken, fucked up, warped broadcast from some future catastrophe.
