Hello

1970's Lawsuit IBANEZ SG €350

This is a mid 70's lawsuit Ibanez SG. Its pre-'75 since it has no serial#. Its an early 2354, pre serial, so I'm guessing '70-73.

Solid mahogany body, bolt-on slim taper 22-fret neck. Two humbuckers with separate volume and tone for each. Tune-O-Matic bridge and a Bigsby style tremolo. All standard hardware except for tuners, which have been replaced by Schaller tuners.

Condition:
In good condition for a 25 year old guitar.
Missing pot knobs but these can be found/bought €10/15 euros from Thomann.de

Thanks,
Matt

ah howya! guitar is nice, been a bit too busy to play it this week though. i've been trying to big up your sale all over the internet, had it in the "bargains" thread before you posted it here. can't believe no one's bought it yet.

do it moose!

Are these decent? always heard Ibanez only got their shit together in the 80s. I had a 70s Ibanez Ric 4001 copy that wasn't up to much. Will take you git players word that it's a good un. Yamaha Sgs from the 90s are great. Well worth grabbing as I believe them to be better made than some of the Gibsons from that period..

70s ibenez les pauls copies are fantastic. really great guitars. i'd say the SGs are as good.

hello all,

maybe we can have a guitar off gareth, to see which is better the ibanez les paul or sg. i'll met you at the four roads pub in crumlin at noon.

anyway, this is a really great guitar. i bought it on tour in munich in 2004. I've used it live as a second guitar and when recording since then. It may be a copy but it is of a very high standard. it has a nice feel and a real sweet woody sound. My reason for selling is that I am moving back to Sweden next weekend and have way too many guitars.

I'm open to reasonable offers.

thanks

i put it on adverts not too long ago for less than a grand and got ripped to shreds.

well, i think those 70's ibenez axes are real 'players' guitars. build quality and electrics are up there with gibsons, but people who are buying a guitar for the badge or its resale value generally won't be interested.

Thinking of letting this go again, any interest from folks here?
