Children of Men The whole thing about refugees and detention centres hits a lot harder these days compared to 2006 when it was released

What movie did you watch last night?

When I visited Venice this movie was foremost in my mind. I even visited the church that Donald was renovating. Everywhere you go in the city is a scene from the film. Loved it.

What movie did you watch last night?

Finally watched Barbie. After all the reviews I'd been looking forward to it but I found it boring, preachy, not funny enough and by the penultimate (or Ken-ultimate) scene I didn't care whatever positive message Rhea Perlman was imparting to her. Disappointing. Hopefully the dance routines...

What movie did you watch last night?

Early Stanley Kubrick. Tarantino was obviously influenced by it. It's been a while since I enjoyed a film as much. The trailer contains some major spoilers

What movie did you watch last night?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pale_Blue_Eye Far too long and a bit silly. The two main leads were great and I had high hopes, but no. Too slow, the "payoff" is daft, the there's an overlong twist. Disappointed.

What movie did you watch last night?

Oh, I'd love to have gone to that. I love Hereditary and am always surprised when people say they hate it. I expected to love Midsommar but there were too many "seen it all before" scenes and I really really disliked every character. I've tried to rewatch it but all think" Not these cunts" and...

What movie did you watch last night?

What movie did you watch last night?

I liked this well enough but not as much as I expected to like it. Will probably give it another go. It also made me want to check out The Mousetrap again. I saw a production in Dublin a few years ago and found it really disappointing.

What movie did you watch last night?

The Day of the Triffids (1962) I hadn't watched it in a few years so gave it another go. Not very good and certainly not a patch o the 1981 TV mini-series. And the religious ending showing people marching into churches to give thanks for being saved. ugh
