Gibson are taking the piss with their new prices these days, and its pushing the second hand stuff up too. A standard Gibson Les Paul will run you the same as a Custom Shop Fender at the moment. Tokai, Orville, Greco, and Epiphone are you best bet for value for a Les Paul type, but even then...

Did something happen to your one? If you be end up buying one maybe email Fender before you do. You strat has some 50's specs so there may be issues with scratch plate holes lining up.

You're fooling nobody. There's a really nice Jap Jazzer on adverts. Unusual green colour with a matching headstock, which I really like on those guitars.

Plenty of AC15s around to try. I was amazing when I saw @mooses band play that bandstand in the park a few months back, the guitar player was playing through an AC15 and it was more then holding its own unmic'ed. They don't stay clean for long, but there's planty of volume in 15 valve watts...
