I'm right on the cusp of M and L as well. It's very annoying. Depending on the shape of of a tshirt one or other can be a perfect fit but more often than not the M is bet onto you while the L swallows you up.

We yeah it was bland because it was non-specialist. I got scabies completely randomly a few years ago. The quack of a doctor I went to misdiagnosed so it dragged on for ages. Worst month of my life hands down.
