sound was a bit dodgy but generally it was fine. Just in the wrong order. Enjoyed the content of the Q&A. Interesting to hear Gary Carpenter mention there was an intricate piece of music they rehearsed for a Howie nightmare scene. Never made it to the studio though I think he said

Was at the screening in the Triskel in Cork earlier. Q&A screened before it was a bit of a dose if I’m being honest. Over an hour long! Surely these things are better off after the movie. Especially when clips were shown. And especially when your seat is a cushioned church pew!

this has crept up nicely. next week! initially it said Magnet were performing. I couldn't believe that was even possible at the time. Seems as though they're not mentioned in the schedule now? That slot seems to be taken over by the specially assembled group with members of Comus and others...

Would have been cool to get the Pinner insight. Haven’t they always denied that the movie was based or influenced by Ritual? I will be in London for the Barbican thing in June. Considered heading over for this but decided not to bother...

Ordered The Child Of The Stones Soundtrack from Trunk there a week or 2 ago. Arrived the other day and gave it a spin earlier. a one sided LP. Absolutely bonkers stuff. It's been a good few years since I watched it so had a vague enough memory of the soundtrack. Isolated from the dialogue etc it...

The event was put on by the deeper into movies guys and also a zine called Weird Walk. The weird walk link is what brought my attention to it. Worth checking out their publications. Only 5 over about 3 years. Only picked them up over the last 6 months or so. Nicely presented, interesting...

Over in London for a few days. Went to see a screening of the Ballad Of Tam Lin last night. (I’d never heard of it until I saw the listing). Elements of what we bladder on about as being folk horror feature in it. Ian mcshane starred in it. He was there introducing it and doing a Q&A with...

best place to put this I'd say. Have any of you heard of a British series from the 70s called Shadows Of Fear? Was only made familiar over the weekend when Jonny Trunk released the opening tune on a 7". It's a deadly opening, and a nifty little tune too. Have since ordered the DVD set. Will...

This series often turns up on here in some form. Whenever it does always have to give a kudos to @nlgbbbblth . Bought the dvd set after a recommendation from him years ago. It can be hit or miss but when it’s hit it’s brilliant. Some great episodes that hit the folk horror boxes
