Normally, yes. I actually quite like making up flatpack furniture but that was one of the most miserable experiences of my life. It was a super kingsized bed with drawers underneath, so nothing like any beds I've ever built before. Spent 7 hours at it last night (mostly on my own) and still...

Bought a nice new bed over the weekend. Splashed out and paid for delivery and assembly coz it's fairly hefty. Also paid for the old mattress and bed to be taken away so took all that down. Bed delivered today but turns out the assembly guys can't come until Sat. That's my evening sorted so!

I know that pain all too well. I have a room full of instruments that don't get nearly enough use these days. Life, kid etc, the usual reasons. Now even if I'm jamming I just have the recorder running. It can hold hours worth of audio so don't need to bump the stuff on to the laptop too often...

If you have a drummer you could jam with, you could lash a recorder in a room while you play. The quality of them recorder things these days is pretty good. It might sound pretty raw but that's rarely a bad thing imho and at least it'd give you a buzz to be recording in some form again. For me...

I feel your pain. I was the same for years. Still am actually to be fair! I picked up a Tascam DR-40 last year and just record stuff live on to that now. Line outs from my mixer straight into the Tascam. Then I can bump the tracks on to the laptop whenever I feel like it. Granted, it's not...
