We started the new Dune Part 1 last night. And while I am enjoying it, it feels like it is full of celebrities. And the space ship design really reminds me of his earlier film Arrival and I hated that film. So I could take or leave finishing it off.

It was so heavily Kubrick influenced, I could have been a wanker and said it wasn't original enough. But it was just so well done that only made me enjoy it more. Even having Nicole Kidman in it felt like a conscious decision to be a Kubrick callback.

Mindhorn (2016) - Consistently watchable without any standout laughs. 90 minutes. The Northman (2022) - Quality bit of killing throughout. Some size.

Trolls 3 - Band Together Unfortunately, pretty weak. Disappointment after 2 strong first movies. Checked the wiki and this only had one screenwriter, while the others had a few people. Including an early simpsons writer and someone from the larry sanders show.

Godzilla - 2014 Really quite clunky, but grand, hollywood. Highlights how good Shin Godzilla is.
