What gig did you go to last night?

Codeine in whelans. The support act was Matthew Nolan and Adrian Crowley. They played an interesting set, I was not aware of Mathew Nolan until this concert but will check his stuff out. Codeine started at 9:30 and played an amazing albeit brief 70 minute set. Kudos to the man in the crowd who...

What gig did you go to last night?

Emma Ruth Rundle with support from Jo Quail in St Ann's Church on Dawson Street. I was worried about sitting on a wooden seat for two hours but there were comfy cushions on them. Jo Quail played 4 pieces on cello which were good. Emma Ruth Rundle played her new album in full and one old track to...

The twilight sad in the button factory. Such an intense singer. Thought they were superb. No smell of vomit either on the balcony anymore which was nice!

Roger Waters in the three arena. A superb performance by him and his band which included 2 members of lucius and Also Jonathon Wilson. Only issue was his failure to know that Francis Black isn't a man when he read out her upcoming Palestine related bill. An expensive night out but he played what...

What gig did you go to last night?

I went to BNQT in the Button Factory on Thursday. They were excellent and played the songs for which their own bands are known for. The turn out was very small considering who was was stage. The band seemed to be really enjoying themselves with lots of friendly banter

What gig did you go to last night?

Nadia Reid and Julie Byrne in whelans. An enjoyable double headliner with the rarity of a singer tackling the idiot chatters. Nadia Reid had to stop a song due to them distracting her. She then told them to shut up or get out.

What gig did you go to last night?

Chelsea Wolfe in Whelans supported by Wife. Wife was a good support act and worth coming in from the bar early for. Chelsea was excellent and seemed oblivious to the now traditional Dublin Saturday crowd chatters, She really should be playing far bigger venues.

What gig did you go to last night?

Nada surf in the Grand Social last night. They were really on form last night with good interband banter between songs. Only issues were an idiot heckler and a group of drunks who must only go to one gig a year and were a nightmare to be near.
