What does Beto O'Rourke make of this album though?

    The Clash - Sandinista! (1980)

Sandinista! was not a contractual obligation album and if it was it'd be the worst way of doing it since it would only count as one album on their contract. Prefuse complaining about rap again, keep Morrissey out of this thread

    The Clash - Sandinista! (1980)

There's definitely a safer double or single album in there but I'd say you would require more production work on the tracks chosen, throw in Bankrobber and maybe get Joe'n'Mick to sing Ellen Foley's MPH and Torchlight (written by them in the same sessions) A good way to think of it would...

    The Clash - Sandinista! (1980)

This actually turned out to be really well done, went relatively deep. Chuck D is great in it Urgh, this kind of crap devalues decent music.* *so should be fine for London Calling arf arf amirite??

    The Clash - Sandinista! (1980)

Narrated by Chuck D looks like a fairly standard uncritical stan podcast for the US market though

    The Clash - Sandinista! (1980)

This is great Total on the edge of falling apart playing, Paul concentrating SO HARD on the bassline, Joe just about managing to spit out the entire thesis-length of lyrics and Mick Jones with full on guitar effects up to 11 overwhelming everything, amazin'. Topper is doing grand though...

    The Clash - Sandinista! (1980)

I wonder will they address how completely inconsequential the Clash are to modern pop culture?

    The Clash - Sandinista! (1980)

Well obviously you're completely wrong about ska but that's for another day and there's none on this album. You'll still prolly hate it but sure, as a signed up Clash hater already i'm kinda curious what you'll make of this glorious mess.

    The Clash - Sandinista! (1980)

There are zero ska songs (whether it be the original 60's Jamaican stuff, 2-tone or 90's california ska) on the album. There's a lot of dub though.

    The Clash - Sandinista! (1980)

oh and someone else's take on Sandinista! as a single album, similar enough to mine up there. The 48 minute long classic album hidden inside The Clash's Sandinista! Ok i'm done, over to you thumped.

Indeed, RIP Album Club for those still listening though:

    The Clash - Sandinista! (1980)

It's probably my fav clash album but I wouldn't have the patience to get into it if I was new to it now. Here's an attempt to cut it down to a single album, including a track that wasn't even on the album but was recorded simultaneously so it counts as much as anything else Really it...
