What movie did you watch last night?

I liked it. In fact I almost loved it. Mainly for the visuals, the nice score and Amy Adams' performance. But I seemed to be a step ahead of it all the time, and felt there were too may 12A moments in there. It really did look fantastic though. Needs to be seen on the big screen.

What movie did you watch last night?

Yeah, none of that (the minor stuff) was convincing - nothing we haven't seen before. But the leads were great alright - and your spoiler too!

Yeah, I'd go along with that. I was expecting maybe a star or two more, given the reviews though. Texas looked dystopian!

What movie did you watch last night?

Yeah, loved Blue Ruin, and I really like how he directs the movies. Maybe it wasn't the gore itself, but for a short while there was a danger of it taking on the cliches of a slasher movie - the screaming, the "oh-my-fucking-Gods", etc. Thankfully it didn't go there. It was really good. Loved...

What movie did you watch last night?

Saw it today. Very very good. Certainly had me gripped for the duration. That said I think that it may have been even more effective and more credible if he toned down the gore a bit. Best thing about it was the performance by this fella

What movie did you watch last night?

The Brand New Testament God is a sadist living in Brussels and making everyone's life a misery. His daughter has plans to change all that. Really really good. Very funny and irreverent, but with a strikingly moral narrative. Kind of like Amelie on mescaline

What movie did you watch last night?

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil Very long, with some great performances, and some very surreal moments - in an almost down south Twin Peaks manner. Enjoyed it! Best line ... "this place (Savannah) - it's like Gone With the Wind on Mescalin".

What movie did you watch last night?

Went to Triple 9 yesterday Very good, but a bit clunky in parts, and slightly depressing, with macho, humourless, sweaty, smarmy men, living atrociously unhealthy lifestyles in filthy apartments. It was missing an endearing baddie - they were a hateful lot. Some great action scenes. though.
