I've interviewed for the same position years apart where someone didn't get it first time purely because another person was slightly "better". We were happy when they applied again the next time and got it.

I was just late to a zoom interview... Got a phone call - "they're waiting for you". Quick shirt change, email the link to my wife's computer that has zoom and a camera, run to the jacks. Worked out, I didn't have time to worry about it. It helped that I could take or leave the job.

Shite news. Big employer around these parts. In fairness they have closed a good few times now.

In fairness there's very little of that were I work. So little that you can identify actual people and who they specifically don't like. And even that's just two people.

This work mobile I have is so annoying. I forget to turn it on half the time, for example I've been working since 8am but only just remembered to turn on the phone. Also I hate the OS and the form of the thing, I keep dropping it.

Just sent off my application for promotion. Word crashed while I was almost finished filling out the form. I lost 3 pages of text, almost 300 words each. When I filled it out again all I could muster for one of the pages was about 20 words. What a disaster.
