The story of the failed hero flick dates back to 1996 when a script for Superman Lives by self-confessed fanboy Kevin Smith was to be directed by Tim Burton. Smith wanted eventual Batman Ben Affleck for the red caped role but Burton preferred Nicolas Cage and Smith eventually left the project.

It is very good Bernie but difficult and sad to watch in places.

True enough, even the title sounds very Tartinoesque.

I'm looking forward more to Colin Farrells next collaboration with director Martin McDonagh..can't remember the name of it but is supposed to have a great cast.
