Get your bum down to Parnell St The beef noodle soup in Charming Noodle is better than anything on the menu in those two chains. Veggie? They do loads of those dishes too. Cheap as chips also. Trust me. I'm never wrong.

Louie's Bistro on Parnell Sq Le Bon Crubeen and Talbot 101 on Talbot St All serve reasonably-priced, good food. I think they all have early bird or pre-theatre prices.

Yeah, I've gone off it. I was in Shanahan's on Saturday, a fake American steakhouse on Stephen's Green Great food. Expensive though.

Not to have a go, but Rupsha down the road is better. http://www.rupsha.ie/ The service is slow if there's more than one table but as a take away, I can't think of a better one. They deliver and all.
