Actually, a final point if I may while on the topic of naval bases - the Arab Spring demonstrated perfectly the US' duplicity; they were all gung ho for democracy and freedom until it came to Bahrain, home of the US 5th fleet, at which point they turned the other way while the Saudi's and UAE...

It was a reactive annexation when faced with the loss of their only warm water naval base, they'd be in a pretty bad way without Sevastopol. He probably would take the 1991 borders if he knew they'd roll over for him, that's never gonna happen though so he's satisfied with the current status...

Against that you could ask - what business has the US in Eastern Europe? Certainly it's of far greater interest to Russia than it should be to the US. Putin doesn't want to expand the Russian borders any further, the idea that he's gonna go after the Baltic states is absurd. I'm not even sure...

The big worry with Hillary as opposed to Trump is continued American adventurism in Eastern Europe. Things could escalate very quickly indeed and unlike during the Cold War Russian nuclear doctrine now allows for a first strike if the country faces an 'existential' threat.

You know I'm gonna have to dispute that! He's been in charge since 2000, he inherited the Chechen war, fought the Georgian war in response to what was seen as a provocation, similarly with the annexation of Crimea and the ongoing conflict in Donbas. The war in Syria was likely an attempt to...

They're moving away from pacifism now that China is on the up and up, I think they'll end up dumping that article from their Constitution relatively soon. Trump hates the Iran deal and has vowed to keep supporting Israel so maybe he's not so good on foreign policy. You let me down Donald.

That is a good read I could readily identify with that sentiment, and a lot of what Buchanan has to say on US foreign policy. The '1488ers' make the whole thing rather dangerous though.

Right. I've gone ten pages in Google with 'Trump illegal workers' and gotten those same two stories. Should I keep going? PS: You're presenting the argument that Trump uses illegal migrant work to make his money - make the case. Two examples (one historical and one alleged) does not do that.

You're back to the dismissive sneering again. Google gives me that and a case from 1979 where he employed some Polish workers. It isn't a whole lot to rely on for a guy who has created an estimated 34,000 jobs - 22,450 directly with a 1.5 multiplier. Not all these jobs are in the US admittedly...

I don't see that Trump supporters hate the rich, they hate that their jobs have been off-shored, that the rich have been behind that is incidental. These people want to be rich too, or at least comfortable, Trump is as much an aspiration as anything else. How many illegals does Trump employ?
