What movie did you watch last night?

They actually had over dub some of the dialogue in the location scenes due to the noise of protesters on the background.

What movie did you watch last night?

C.H.U.D (1984) - not seen it since the VHS days. John Heard elevates this from being the usual rubber monster dreck. Was surprised when John Goodman popped in with a bit part.

    Folk Horror

Has anyone seen Eye of the Devil (1966) with David Niven. I have to say I never heard of it til a year or 2 ago. It has very similar themes to the Wicker Man. It is worth tracking down. The film and its source material predate Ritual, the book on which the Wicker Man was based.

    Folk Horror

I love Blood on Satan's claw - it has been ages since I seen it, so I am slow to totally sing it's praises. It is a fun, campy film though. Witchfinder General is one of my favourites - I don't think it aged that badly. Tha Hallows (the one is set in Ireland) is another folk horror

    Folk Horror

I initially thought that too. But wasn't there bits about the folklore of Hobs End talking about goblins, sprites etc haunting the area in the past. It might have been mentioned more in the TV series. Yeah that poster of Devil Rides Out is amazing , I mght have to get that. I have reproduction...

    Folk Horror

Has any one seen Robin Redbreast? It definitely belongs in a list of English Folk horror. I also enjoyed Wakewood (the 2009 Hammer film) and thought it better than the lack lustre Wicker Tree.

What movie did you watch last night?

I think it was one of my favourites this year. It avoided alot of cliches that I thought it might run into - the bad guy were pretty intelligent for the most part (and believable). When they first called the guy 'Jitsu' I was expecting some over the top kung fu action but instead I got some...

    Your Favorite Movies of 2015

The Editor is funny though a little long but I imagine you really need to be a fan of Giallo to like it.

    Preacher

Yeah, they will tone in down for sure. They will most likely cut all the profanity out too (which is pretty much every dialogue bubble). Very Minor Spoilers: From the cast, it looks like the first story is an arc from about 2/3 the way through the comic (Jesse versus the Small town Meat Mogul...

    Ash vs Evil Dead

Great first episode - Ash was hilarious. Only gripe was the CGI but it was probably to be expected.

    The Strain

Just rewatched Blade 2 - I didn't realise how much Del Toro reused the look of the reapers for the vamps in the Strain.

What television series are you currently making your way through?

^I didn't predict that. A lot of it still doesn't make sense though - especially bits with the FBI outside of Wayward Pines.

What movie did you watch last night?

Just because you can - doesn't mean you should. I really didn't expect much from this and I got it in spades. Dieter Laser is back as the main bad guy, in HC1 his scenery chewing was entertaining and the best thing about the film, here it it just plain annoying. Tom Six is trolling us hard - I...
