    RIP Jim Daniels

Such sad news, I can't stop thinking about it. Jimmy was as sound in real life as he was on here - and he had the best taste in music and books. Although we only met a few times in 'real life' it was lovely to keep up with him through FB and Twitter. And like ye were saying, while the rest of us...

Their Twilight bar is the most amazing bar ever invented ever.... Any health shops or veggie places would take you up on that offer?

    The Joys Of Film Photography

Currently have a roll stuck in an Olympus Pen EE3 that I can't seem to unwind... but it's my first time using that camera so being a newbie I'm also afraid I might just not have loaded it properly. Or as the camera is very old (in great condition) it might just be stuck. The joys...

    Just Signed up for Twitter

It's OK, I just don't want anyone to think I was starting off a bitchfest when that really was not my intention. I don't use Twitter to bitch about people or slag people off (especially if I know them!) and was mortified to think that it looked like it was. Anyway, back to observing people...

    Just Signed up for Twitter

Hey! I didn't 'start' anything because I wanted to be nasty about thumped. I started it because I thought it was funny someone thought I was Niall's girlfriend as it happens a lot. You can read that in the original tweet. Then I realised afterwards that people had been saying things about him -...

It'll be on at 5pm and you can listen online (http://rte.ie/radio), on digital radio or on UPC channel 944. Here's some...

    Bread...mould....heat?

Tried tiger bread for the first time at a friend's last week and ate about 5 slices in .05 minutes so I am never buying it.... re: the mould, it's probably heat, Jim Daniels' freezing idea is the job - try that! nothing worse than eating a slice of bread and then seeing the mould on it

    Gluten Free Tips

There are probably hundreds upon hundreds of people who are coeliac and don't know it - reading forums etc it seems that doctors never actually suggest people get tested for it, they've had to ask. Did you say to your doctor that you think you're allergic or intolerant? I get crappy skin...

What did your Grandfather do for a living?

My mum's dad owned a corner shop in Cork, but apparently he was in the fire brigade up North years before that. And his dad was in the army apparently, but according to the census was a tailor and a journeyman when he was younger. My dad's dad was a carpenter I think, but possibly did a few things.

    Herbal Teas

That looks like HEAVEN!! I am obsessed with tea. The Palais de Thés on Wicklow st does really top class teas but they're not cheap. I love the Heath & Heather range; Clipper teas (their white with raspberry, holy crap); pukka teas are nice too. Marks and Spencer ginger and lemon tea is soooo...

    Gluten Free Tips

Did you try buckwheat pasta? It's firmer than rice and corn, it's not exactly the same as normal pasta but it tastes grand. Orgran do that pasta. They also do really nice falafel mixes. And their chocolate biscotti are really nice. I can't remember the name of the ciabatta, sorry! They're not...

Have you gone shopping for any gluten-free alternatives? Some gluten free bread is disgusting, I found some ciabattas that were really nice recently. There are loads of pasta alternatives.

    Gluten Free Tips

In case you're interested, Dove's Farm gluten-free flour is great for baking, you use it like normal flour, just with a little extra liquid. RSJ - I used to get that sick feeling anytime I had dairy in my food so I had to knock it on the head big time. I did then get it occasionally but once I...

    Gluten Free Tips

Hope this is of help: Hell pizzeria does gluten-free bases; Cafe Fresh in Powerscourt has gluten-free food, as does Blazing Salads; Mao's and Monty's of Kathmandu have separate gluten-free menus, you just have to ask. If you get the blood test for coeliac, you should make sure you are eating...
