So sad to hear this. Only had the pleasure of meeting her once but it was bags of fun. Such a great personality on here. RIP

Hey thanks, I belatedly took moose's advice and got in touch with Mick from Amdusias Devices who did me up one last year. Over the moon with it.

You're so high up on that horse I'm pretty sure I shouldn't be bothering but anyway. First of all your projecting and you're exaggerating. Ola in the interview, didn't say she was traumatized. That's your projection. Secondly, I was being a bit tongue in cheek but at the same time I don't think...

    Racism in Ireland

I suppose it was only a matter of time before someone brought up the Nazis. Ignoring for a moment that one book espouses the virtues of tolerance whereas the other does the opposite, do you think that banning Mein Kampf in the 20s would have made a difference to the turn of events in the 30s?

But what if that character of Piggy makes the overweight kid in class uncomfortable?

So all the books on the curriculum should be Irish and from the 21st century??

    Racism in Ireland

Well obviously we're not going to agree but for me it absolutely is a form of censorship. The JC curriculum is already a choice between a large group of works (perhaps the list should be more diverse, probably it should I'm not familiar with it). A teacher can choose not to do Lee or Steinbeck...

    Racism in Ireland

I think it was the other person who was obfuscating the argument. Talking about walking around town seeing White Lives Matter graffiti. While obviously it's nowhere near as bad as banning books, removing it from the syllabus is still a form of censorship. I don't think he's wrong to say that...

Songs that you forgot you loved...

Bluetip are intrinsically linked in my head with Faraquet for some reason (probably just the Dischord connection). So your post has in turn reminded me of a song I'd forgotten I love:

I am a proud Craft Beer convert -- the Hipsters were right.

It tastes a bit like bananas, which makes even worse for me. I don't mind bananas but hate banana-flavoured anything. Got to be the worst of your standard flavours.

Generally I would be, the odd one with a mild taste of grapefruit aside. All Together is just a pretty normal, strong IPA though. And a really good one in my honest opinion. I hate all the desserty beers - salted caramel, double chocolate whatever
