    Best Irish turn of phrase

    I do! I'd say it a good 3-17 times a day.

iTunes 11 - And how it sucks

Yeah Ccleaner's great for the uninstalling, much faster than the standard method. Glary Utilities is also good. Revo has various levels of uninstall you can do that removes everything associated with the program, so it takes much longer usually but worth it if yr low on disk space or want to...

iTunes 11 - And how it sucks

Try using Revo Uninstaller to get rid of it; it does a bit more of a "deep clean" when uninstalling programs.

iTunes 11 - And how it sucks

When this iPod reaches the end of its useful life I'll be going for something I can drag and drop files onto. Sharepod does just that! It's really great, I can't recommend it enough. I don't know if it's compatible with every device but it's surely worth a go.

iTunes 11 - And how it sucks

I liked iTunes up until a couple of years ago when I finally got sick of its bloat, not to mention disliking Apple and its brand-ego nonsense. I tried almost every other free media player (don't use any streaming things really) and in the end settled for Resonic; it's the opposite of iTunes and...

Jeenie mack! I heard it uttered once in an episode of Power Rangers being broadcast on TG4.

    Beards

Shaved about four months worth of beard over the weekend and I'm flipping freezing. Cut my hair as well like. Regretting it a little bit but with the resultant streamlining I've shaved (ha) almost 8 seconds off my walk to college.

What Book Did You Read Last Night???

I've given up worrying about book covers with petals and butterflies.. Saw the movie of that, I didn't think it was all that great but recognised it had some really good ideas. Possibly it was just a fumbled adaptation; it gave me the impression the book was probably worth reading.

What Book Did You Read Last Night???

Arrah jaysis, ehh... I'm new here! Wonder how many times I can use that excuse. Hello 2005 anyways! How're things.

What Book Did You Read Last Night???

Nabokov is flipping great! Have you read "Mary"? Also "Cloud Castle Lake" - excellent short stories. He's got such an odd way with words, his sentences can be almost nonsensical but still incredibly fluid. As for Flann O'Brien; I love Third Policeman but couldn't get into At Swim Two Birds...

    Babysitting

Yeah for sure. In every way it was many steps too far. I understand the frustration, up to a point.

No thanks! Texting Allegedly Triggers Movie Theater Shooting by Retired Police Captain - ABC News I mean texting in the cinema is gammy but this is just too far.

    Babysitting

Ha! I'm not the fightin' type (translation:I'm pretty weedy), so I just went and told on him. Usher came in, said a couple of words, I spent the rest of the film waiting for the guy to punch me in the back of the head. So I couldn't really appreciate it, but could tell it was good. Must watch it...

    Babysitting

Ah there's definitely worse things to be found in the cinema. For instance, I was at Italian movie The Great Beauty and this middle-aged couple behind me were just yapping away. Benefit of the doubt lasted 20 minutes, and when I turned around to ask them to keep it down the guy went totally...

    Best Irish turn of phrase

"Crippled with the gout" - not sure what it means but it cracks me up whenever my friend Dave airs it. Might be a Longford thing. Also putting the word "altogether" at the end of anything ie ""It was fierce mild out altogether"

I'm playing with Brigid at the Cian Nugent Joinery gig. Looking forward to it, never seen him live. Heard he's good.

It's well I know that feeling of acting dodgy! Hanging around the docks with tripod and camera, in heavy coat and boots. I see people notice me and quicken their pace, and all I want to do is shout after them "Come back! I'm sound!"
