I saw a thing in the garden

In the past week I’ve had piwakaka come into the house for a visit (no fear of humans) also a pair of Kereru who pop by every year. A bellbird that has a bath in our gutter. We have a possum who makes a fierce racket. A resident hedgehog and a pesky mouse. These are the Kereru.

I was introduced to Sam by his daughter and have met him a few times. He has a good grumpy vibe going on ( in a good way )

    Nespresso style coffee machines

I would recommend central / South American coffee. I like Brazilian coffee personally. I find it , generally, less acidic than some of the African / Asian coffees . It's a personal taste thing though. Those tasting notes you cited would be found in the American coffee's , particularly those...

    Coffee

Round about Christmas, I started roasting coffee, commercially, like. Bought a 1kg electric drum roaster (a North TJ-067 for those interested). At the moment it's just a side project as I've not given up my day job - but, I've gone through 60KG so far in about 3 mnths. I've created a nice...

Thinking of Getting Out Of Dublin To Move To The Country...

We bought our spot about 9 years ago. Couldn't have done it 6 months earlier or 6 months later. If we were trying to buy now I don't think we would have had a hope. Prices have sky-rocketed here . According to paper in front of me here on the table the median value of a property here (in this...

X actually been fine so far - mid summer snow probably doesn't help them thrive. Never get to visit Dunedin enough.

Thinking of Getting Out Of Dublin To Move To The Country...

I'm living in New Zealand now ( in a lovely spot) but yonks ago we were living in Dublin and we later moved to a rural spot outside Galway. About an hour from the city but in a lovely old farmhouse away from folk. We loved it . But then we're not social types. We now have a small house at Lake...

    Coffee

Can't speak for anywhere where you may be located but most of the coffee places that roast their own coffee here in nz will often have a cupping evening maybe weekly or monthly where you can do just this. It's usually free to attend and you get to try everything. Perhaps suggesting something...

    Jellyfish - Spilt Milk (1993)

Both Jellyfish albums are in my all time fav list ( no such list actually exists but y'know) . While I think Bellybutton is my preferred album of the two, it's probably because of a first love type bias . I acknowledge that Spilt Milk is probably a technically better album and I love it to bits...
