yep on the deliveroos. But I've only seen them on speed-limited bikes and have had absolutely no problems with any of them.

    Jaysus cycling!

all e-bikes? or un-regulated ones? The big problem here is there's no real law governing the unregulated ones. Like, I'm sure people would be willing to pay something in tax and insurance (I'd imagine the cost would be low), but it's not possible. If they do bring in something like that, I...

    Jaysus cycling!

the speeds are limited here, legally, to 25km. At 25km, assistance cuts out and you're on your own. From what I can gather it's easy to disable the limiter and I've seen lads in suits tearing up the cycle lanes at 45km/h while I'm trying to pull away from lights like a snail. I'm all for the...

    Jaysus cycling!

a friend of mine did that. Found he had too many problems with parts going, wearing out components, etc, so decided to go back to a conventional road bike.

    2019 albums worth a listen.....

The Ballet have a new album out today. It's really lovely. Very strong Magnetic Fields vibe from it I remember about 10-15 years ago, possibly via myspace, sending away for their self-released Mattachine album, which I don't think ever got a general release. It was great, but I never heard a...

    Upcoming Gigs of Interest

it's on hawkins st (if it's the place I'm thinking of), so around the corner from d'olier st. Just by the Luas tracks there, opposite where the old screen cinema was (and that horrible hawkins house building).

What television series are you currently making your way through?

haven't seen any of the Giro yet. Will try and make time today to scan the stages and pick out the ones worth making time to watch. It's usually the best GT of the year. Am happy to let the Tour completely pass me by. My interest in cycling just isn't what it was. I'd normally be glued to every...

What television series are you currently making your way through?

I loved Glow too, but then I'm a bit of an Alison Brie fanboy, so am gonna like anything she's in. I watched Black Summer over the past couple of weeks, mostly on planes or buses, on my phone. It was perfect for watching that way. Not much dialog, very suspenseful, and very well shot. If you...

    2019 albums worth a listen.....

YAY, heard they were back via their twitter. The lad from the band is doing that Large Mound thing of releasing a song a month under his own name, but Elizabeth was always the talented one in the band. Good to have them back.

    Racism in Ireland

it would have been the easiest thing in the world for O'Brian to have said nothing at all. that he went out of his way to defend something so obviously racist, was poor fucking judgement, to say the least.
