Just finished The Three Body Problem by Cixin Liu and am on the next book in the series. It's very alien because there's aliens in it but also because it's written by a Chinese guy and has roots in the Chinese revolution and it's history and that's alien to me too.

WELL, i watched The Manchurian Candidate and had no idea what it was about prior to watching it. It was very long but it was great and mental and Angela Lansbury is the business in it as is Frank Sinatra.

I have an old dog who nearly died from overeating yesterday and cost me a fortune in vet bills click clacking around the fucking house, a puppy that is fucking batshit and is eating plastic and barking at everyone, two bizarrely pyjamad Italian guests who have no english and are smoking out...

Am doing ok at the moment, but I lived like a nun for two years after the first time and it still came back so am kind of not arsed about being overly mental about food and drink. I keep pretty fit and go to the gym and jog etc.

Well I stuck it out and warmed to it, it got a lot more depth as it went on. It just felt a bit vacuous at the start, really enjoying the story now though.

Peaky Fucking Blinders. Watched a couple of episodes when it first came out and couldn't warm to it, but it's deadly. Johnny Dogs is my favourite character, he should get his own spin off.

Go out to Greystones and then walk back to Bray and play the waterfall machines and swim in the sea and get chips and ice cream. Go up to Glenmalure and do a big hike and then have lunch in the pub. Go to the zoo at 10am and have an early lunch in the Hole in the Wall and read the paper.

I don't get them either, I just feel I've heard it all before, nothing new to see. I listened to some of their stuff because the child went to see them the other night with the ex and he had a wonderful time, but he's eleven. Seemed to be loads of forty somethings at it from the sound of things.
