I stupidly expected the greatness that was Red Dawn repeated....How silly was I. Not even the cheap Polish lager could save this one... The worse thing is this is the first part of a trilogy and I'll be moaning again after I see Part II. I dunno why I do this to my self :-)

I was so looking forward to this one..It was everything I expected and more.. It was funny, gorey as fuck and very entertaining. It reminded me very much of a better Troma movie. There was some good cheesey bad guys, imaginative and corny one liners.

It had potential but dropped the ball. Shouldn't have been so dull though there was one or 2 entertaining moments. The print I watched was dark as fuck too.

Sorry I was using Polish lager to translate my post... I meant Smart kid but There was no Shark in this scene: Meaning the film jumped during that scene - so no shark appeared and he then said 'We need a bigger boat'..

I saw that in CIneworld about 2 years ago and it was oe of the worst prints ever...There was a jump before 'We need a Bigger boat' bit missing out the shark totally.. What was the IFI print like? and yes it is one of the best films ever made.

Agreed..the trailer sent shivers down your spine. I like the the way every single Eastern European in the film is either kicked in the balls or chopped in the throat. (not that I have anything against Eastern Europeans)
