Is Three's 15 Gigs the best interwebpackage out there?

They have a 60gb package for 30. You could also get their mobile package which has "all you can eat data" (their actual usage limit is several TB on the tracker!) and then tether a phone to use it. I use my HTC with Meteors package.

Do Three allow tethering of their Android phone's ?

I don't think they care what its used for really, no one is going to be using 15gb of data on regular surfing from a phone like. They expect people to tether.

Probably the greatest torrent description you'll ever read

No, its usually $19 for access to a single paper. That's it. Access to the whole database runs into the tens of thousands and is usually only paid by universitys.

Just got an Android phone..Recommended apps for it.

Try not to use the browser for sites that have dedicated apps like Facebook/Twitter. If you've been doing that clear the browser cache as even the top phones only have a few hundred MB internal memory and the browser cache can take up most of that. I'd reccommend Dolphin Browser & move it to the...

    Supersonic 2011

Would love to see WITTR, Eternal Tapestry, Zombi & Cloaks but the headliners aren't tempting me at all this year. Plus it still being in October is a pisser.

what's with folk releasing stuff on cassette?

And I really do think that there are bands releasing only online or via mp3 who are going to have no record of their music left in a few years because of inevitable hard drive failure or deletion. Even download links/hosting don't last long at all.

what's with folk releasing stuff on cassette?

Another cassette thread? I'm not going to post in this one as I explained why I like tapes so much in the other two threads linked at the start of this one but basically its because they're cheap to make and cheap to buy. A lot of stuff like the drone/synth/noise stuff thats released on LP is US...
