    Any wrestling fans?

The best thing Billy Corgan has produced since that Zwan album. I absolutely loved this show. It's a pity Billy has apparently said it's basically not financially sustainable to keep producing it for distribution only on YouTube and they need some partner to help our or else it'll be toast.

What movie did you watch last night?

Brawl in Cell Block 99. Took a sick day from work and really enjoyed this highly silly and gory film from under a duvet on the couch. One of my cats decided to sleep on me for the full two hours as well which was great.

    Any wrestling fans?

AEW Dynamite verdict in the form of a wrestling chant - 'that was inoffensive and grand for the most part *clap clap clap clap clap*'. An easy watch. Jim Ross didn't sound like he was half-dead and Tony Schiavone just sounds right and like he belongs. I'll stick with it as I have the time and I...

    Minor complaints thread

went out to the local notions bakery to buy some bread the other morning and the middle-aged English guy behind the counter excitedly said "is that an Irish accent I hear?" when I was paying. This is tolerable - happy to tell him exactly where I am from if he asks because that happens anytime...

What television series are you currently making your way through?

The Capture on BBC. Ridiculous conspiracy thriller show with dull dialogue and lots of plot holes. Suitable only for mindless watching on the morning commute and if it was any longer than six episodes I'd give up.

What television series are you currently making your way through?

series 2 of Stath Lets Flats on Channel 4. I can see why people would think it is either total shit or just mediocre. The highs totally make up for the bits that fall flat though for me.

    Ask Thumped...

A group of Brits (7/8 of the non-Brexity variety) I work with are off to Dublin for a conference tonight. I have already provided my list of recommended pubs but does anyone know anywhere decent and not expensive to eat? They're staying on Fleet Street.

    Any wrestling fans?

Seeing Okada vs Suzuki live on Saturday night was deadly. I'm going to Tokyo next month and am a bit sad that I land a few days after the next IWGP title match takes place because it'll probably be even better. The Copper Box is a great venue for wrasslin'. I would definitely go to an AEW show...

What gig did you go to last night?

I love the Spook School! I'm going to see them on Thursday night. It'll be a bit sad but I'm glad they're going away before they make an average album.

    Any wrestling fans?

I heard this review of The Mountie vs Tatanka on the Bryan & Vinny show so I went and watched the match and then listened to the review again. Early 90s cartoonish wrestling in all its glory.

What gig did you go to last night?

Nadine Coyle. Thirty minutes of Girls Aloud hits plus one good solo song. It sort of made up for her cancelling her tour last year although she didn't play Call The Shots.

What Book Did You Read Last Night???

The Big Midweek: Life Inside The Fall - Steve Hanley. A fun read for a couple of quid on Kindle. Now I'm on a Fall buzz and that is good. The Spy and the Traitor - Ben MacIntyre. A great non-fiction account of a KGB double agent in the 70s and 80s which is only let down by some uninspiring...

    Major Pleasures

Just booked some leave in work at the end of August - 17 days off in a row for doing nothing but lounging around London and ends with a wedding that has a free bar. And it won't be one of those dry English weddings either as one of the couple is Irish and there'd be war if it was over by midnight.

What movie did you watch last night?

Miracle Mile - 80s nuclear apocalypse film starring Anthony Edwards. I did a search here and @Scientician 0.8 raved about it a few years ago. Pretty good. It's on Netflix. The Conversation - Francis Ford Coppola thriller/mystery starring Gene Hackman from 1974 about a surveillance expert. This...

New Pixies Material - possibly unshite

This isn't bad? And the podcast means I will probably listen to the new album twice instead of once on Spotify. But I'm definitely not arsed about ever seeing them play again and haven't been in a long time.

    Ask Thumped...

who knows stuff about money? A family member wants to give me €5000 (a nice surprise!). Apart from upping my contributions to thumped does anyone know where the best place to stick it would be? I don't live in Ireland and but have a basic AIB bank account. I won't need access to the money in the...

    Any wrestling fans?

Wrestling fans can be fucking awful but when it all comes together for the right show or match it's magic. There was an American Wrestling Rampage tour that had a show in the Basketball Arena in 2008 (the internet tells me) that I was at. Special appearance by Bret Hart with Sabu, The Sandman...
