Coronavirus: Better Call Sol - CORONAMANIA (8 Viewers)

My housemate is grand - she was never sick and just self-isolated as a precaution. Thankfully she never showed symptoms so we assume she's fine! Fair play to her for isolating, I imagine it was so tough.

The landlady text me last week to ask "are you all still self-isolating" which I had a rage meltdown over, obviously, she was gearing up to start sending the builders over again, but then thank fuck thee Government put the foot down and she had to back the fuck off. I didn't text her back. Unbelievable. She made it sound as if we were being hysterical babies choosing to make a scene about the whole thing. Hope she's fucking stewing in it now.

All is good here, other than finding it quite hard to concentrate on work. Just can't get myself "in the zone" right now... Too many other things seem more important. Bit stressed I'm falling behind and found myself starting to sleep late, so need to try get into a better routine. All good though and feeling grateful for my health and home.

Thanks for asking! How are you feeling mate?
Good, glad it's sorted for now!

I'm good, totally recovered, being sick seems like a distant memory now. Think my girlfriend's mum has it now. She's self isolating in Southend. Hopefully it's a mild case. She's 69 and has no underlying health problems.

Poor thing :( I'm fond of Southend, one of my BFFs is from there. Best wishes to her <3

I had a phone therapy session last night and my therapist said the main human experience right now is sheer agitation. Ahem.

Take a look at the posts from yesterday here.

How are you finding the phoners? I cancelled my session last week and ordinarily would be due to go next week, and I know she's doing skype and facetime sessions but I don't know if I'll ask for an appointment.

this morning's one was 3.5 hours
fucking lol.

That's brutal.

Possibly my worst one was an hour or two, but I was up standing at this lectern yoke, and having to go through stuff on a white board. The problem was the lectern had a little metal rail to hold your sheets and things, and I was nervous I suppose, so I leaned really hard on it.

My nerves in my elbows are all fooked from bike crashes though, and I was digging the metal rail into my arm and couldn't feel it. After a while I noticed more and more looks of confusion and consternation from people on the call, and my elbows were sticky. Then I was looking around and I thought: jaysus, I'm trailing red marker all over the shop here... hold on... I'm not using red marker.

It's a good look though, trailing blood all over the shop, during a meeting with the higher ups in infectious diseases institute.

My skin is in SHITE which I don't understand because I'm eating really well and exercising nearly every day.

Lack of vitamin D, we're able to spend even less time outside than we usually would at this time of year. Mine is in bits too. Glad to hear that the house situation is ok for now.

I was really anxious and dreading it, but it did me a world of good. I'd encourage you to go ahead with yours. I've been with my therapist for close to a decade and she knows me really well, but that aside hearing someone validate the fact that yes, we all feel utterly insane right now, really helped. She said its REALLY easy to get sucked into the agitation of others and the whole noisy narrative of this, so to resist that and focus inward. Good advice.
