The Phoenix Park is not the largest urban park in Europe after all (1 Viewer)

The welcomes are strictly for tourists who spend lots of money and leave.
 
There are some lovely old buildings in the park alright, I'd say they're feckin' freezing in the winter though.
 
Moscow and St Petersburg are in Europe. Asian Russia is bigger but without most of the major cities.
I read a big book on the history of Europe a couple of years ago (actually I read most of it and have stalled at some point around the French revolution) and most of the first chapter was given over to saying why there is no definitive definition of Europe. Geographical, political, and historical definitions are all different and depending on the sources, they are even different within each of those categories. Russia is both within Europe and outside it, it's the Schrödinger's cat of Europe.
