I've been meaning to give Barry Adamson's stuff a listen. What's the best place to start? Moss Side Story?

Never heard of that Test Dept. record with the miners either. Nice one.

I only really know Test Dept. by reputation. The miners one and Beating the Retreat are great but the others I got are a bit shit. Will give them all my customary three listens to be sure though.

As for Barry, just dive in on any of his 80s/90s stuff. I haven't kept up with him but I'm inspired to go searching again. He's the business.

The real star of that haul though is the Die Haut LP. Probably one of the most underrated bands of that era. If you haven't heard them, I reckon you'd love them.

Sound - a solid recommendation, coming from yerself! Will check it out.

I've got a few of their albums, all good and most of them can be had on discogs for cheap. The first album (Burning the Ice) is particularly good, angular German post-punk with guest vocals from some Australian singer, Mick Cave or something...

Neil Young & The Shocking Pinks Everybody's Rockin' LP
Godspeed You! Black Emperor Luciferian Towers LP

Spindizzy have another copy of that Neil Young LP and 3-4 copies of ReAcTor if anyone is looking them. I already have ReAcTor on vinyl (it's fucking great) but imagine Everybody's Rockin' to be for the more forgiving NY fan.

Nice - I have a ReAcTor shaped hole in my NY collection.

I must revisit Reactor; I've no memory of it at the moment at all. Not sure how I'd feel about Everybody's Rockin' though. Still, it's Neil.

Best thing is, I sold one Residents thing (a CD of a radio interview and a live DVD in a burlap bag with a tiny toy shovel in the bag) and that alone covered the cost of two massive box sets (though had to add to the pot to cover the shipping). I'm sorry I didn't buy a few of those Residents sets at the time.

Currently on disc one of the first box set. It's fucking unreal.
