@Cornu Ammonis have you come across this?

Shinya Sugimoto & Jeremy Young (3) With Julia Kent - Total Fiction

Just came across it in a Norman Records mailout today and Julia Kent caught my eye. It's pretty amazing.

No, I haven't. Weirdly, I have a lot of albums featuring Julia Kent and have seen her a few times but have never bought any of her own solo stuff. Will check this out later, thanks.

My brother recommended the Cigarettes After Sex album to me over the weekend. I'm liking it, very easy going. Not a million miles away from Beach House,

would imagine there'd be a lot of love for this here. They remind me of Woods from their Woods Family Creeps era, with a dash of Sufjan Stevens for good measure.

Filthy Friends (Corin Tucker and one of the REM lads)

Kind of reminds me a bit of the Martinis (Joey Santiago from the Pixies' band). These collaborations are never going to be amazing, but there are some decent tunes, on first listen.

That's alright yeah. Not bad at all, probably for fans only tho.

They announced they were forming a band years and years ago, like back in 2012 or something. I think they were calling it Super Earth at the time.

I really really liked the two Corin Tucker Band albums though, they were very overlooked.

seems this one is on the go a while. That youtube video was posted last year, it seems, even though the album is only out now.

Finally getting to town tomorrow for the new war on drugs. Haven't heard anything from it yet.

Bicep

couple of nordy lads who, by all accounts, are going to become rather huge on the back of this.

it's the dancier side of electronica. Still quite mellow though
