Does your phone show you photos taken on the same day in years gone by? Google photos just turned up this one of Dollymount strand in 2009.

I uploaded my entire photo library to google photos and it throws up some great memories. I've enabled facial recognition in it too which makes it even better, but it's more than a bit creepy at the same time.

agree, sometimes its nice and sometimes its not.

I was ok with the facial recognition stuff when it was limited to within your own photos - it's great for grouping kids photos, and some of the collections & videos it generates are really good - but I'm not so sure about this new thing of identifying yourself so they can find you in other people's photo libraries... What's next? Sliding bit too much in the Facebook direction for my liking.
