Exactly. It always baffled me that people I know saw him as some sort of progressive figure. I would have thought FG was his natural home now that the PDs no longer exist but I suppose FF will do just as well.

Ah well fg have their ministerial positions sorted and if they were returned to government, the thinking would be difficult for a government returned to have a minister who had just joined. Far easier to progress on a party not in government.

And then already two fg Wicklow tds including already a minister in simon harris and both Harris and Donnelly are from greystones.

Forget the first paragraph, simon Harris is why he didn't join fg.
