Hey, I'm looking to purchase something that lets me record simple demos. Someone suggested this. Anyone use one or have a similar or better suggestion?
[Disclaimer: I don't have any monies, not looking for super-fancy tech gear, and detail will be lost on me]

Cheers ;-)

Roland makes a similar thing
Roland - R-05 | WAVE/MP3 Recorder
Also Zoom is another one
Zoom H4nSP - Thomann Ireland

I would imagine at roughly the same price they are all going to be in or around the same quality. Roland is a well known name but Tascam maybe even more so especially with recording and playback stuff. If you are planing on recording more than one thing at a time then maybe you need something that can take multiple mics. I have no experiance with them at all though
