    Why men behave like pigs

You mean like you did when you assumed I was "angry" and "absolving abusers"? Anything else you'd like to mansplain to me?

    Your work situation

Haha! So not so bad then. Some days I'd be very happy to have the office to myself rather than the usual steady stream of people to my office door.

    Your work situation

Do you at least get paid extra? Or is it more a case of being expected to work overtime and working "normal" hours being the bare minimum but don't expect to get a nice desk, let alone bonus or promotion?

    Why men behave like pigs

On average at least one post per page, but you clearly read what men have to say with different eyes, and that's ok. It confirms the way the world is.

Amazing! Still not angry by the way, not even surprised. Just proves a point really.

    Minor complaints thread

You think you were passive agressive, but actually, that is a perfectly reasonable request, and if he didn't feel up to doing it after the call about his grandfather then he could have asked for help, or said, "Hey, I think I might not have been fully concentrating when I was doing the float...

    Why men behave like pigs

@_egg none of these were worthy of calling out for "absolving abuse"? Just my comments about why some women act like "dickheads" sometimes which were a reaction to 4 pages which can largely be summed up as "it's all women's fault anyway" with the occasional "I'm still a nice guy even though...

I can absolutely confirm this. You were, still are, a really lovable bunch of properly decent men.

Not absolving anyone. As should be clear.

    Why men behave like pigs

Totally agree! And that was the point I was trying to make in earlier essays. Women have their own demons to deal with, even without having to deal with the fallout of toxic masculinity. And being a teen, or a child, is hard enough without being someone else's whipping boy. "Kids these...

    Why men behave like pigs

It's endemic, but that doesn't make it hard to change, or to refuse to participate. Like _egg implied, if you reduce someone else to an abstract concept you can easily harm them. If you keep hold of the sameness it's more difficult.

Jeany Lili, can you hear yourself! Next you'll be calling them snowflakes as if that's an insult. Got your Trump2020 hat on order? Yes, Riath, I think there is a change. My brothers are the same, different background. They're late 30s and early 40s.

    Why men behave like pigs

Even "vulnerability" as a concept for men is a weird one. It's like men don't understand real strength or weakness. It takes courage to shake off toxic masculinity, it's easy to hide behind, to fit in with the crowd. Asking for help isn't weakness, it's strength, it's good sense. And as for...
