I avoided going for years, but TBH it's a pretty good venue. Feels almost intimate for a 14,000 seater. Night and day between it and the old Point. I've tix got for the Friday - just gotta accept he's not gonna play The Olympia and try enjoy as best we can! Seen him play similar sized auditorium...

Anyone any suggestions for live music 'round town on a Sunday evening? Anything kinda 'alternative' i.e. not Wonderwall or U2's One etc. Used to love seeing Ro Byrne (ex Lir) in The Mezz on Sundays 6-8pm but don't think he's there anymore...

Just downloaded 8radio App and was pleasantly surprised to hear a track by The Sundays. Phantom turned into complete garbage. I know those 2 goons from the morning show have been (rightfully) vilified, but who let Eamonn Fennell on the airwaves? And Michelle Docherty?!...

I'm looking for a band to play covers at my wedding on Sat Dec 19th in a venue on Stephen's Green. No 'Galway Girl' or 'Timewalk' allowed! Decent kinda vaguely 'alternative/indie' stuff. Please PM if up to the task!
