Thanks, I'll give it a go later.

    Hola Better Internet

I've used it to watch BBC and RTE stuff, but since October/November the RTE website no longer works with Hola. Sometimes you can't even get on the site, you get an error message; sometimes you can get on the site, find what you want to watch, open the player and click play, but you get a message...

    Best Irish turn of phrase

If I'd a garden full of mickies, I wouldn't let her look over the fence. Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Ex Daemien Frost Guitarist seeks humans.

Hi Dave, I'm a human but I don't live in Ireland anymore. Wanna do an email band? Maybe it's time to put Beards of Jesus back together (sponsored by WeTransfer)? :) Mark

    Sure

Grand thanks, yourself? It's been a while since my last post...although I started a thread in Parenting about two years ago! I moved out forren five years ago so I've been more of a lurker since... I guess most of posts were about gigs in Dublin :)

    Sure

I'd phrase that slightly differently... 'Shur you won't feel the Christmas.' And in my experience it's normally said around August.

    Atheist parents...

Thanks everyone. Next time she asks, I'll show her this thread.

    Atheist parents...

Yes, but I suppose I'm worried that the cold hard facts of death (yes, mammy and daddy are going to die one day, probably leaving you behind; yes, you are going to die too; no, there's no heaven...unless you're really fond of rotting in the ground) could be somewhat traumatic to a three year...

    Atheist parents...

How have you explained death to your young children? I've come up with my own answer which I trot out, but I'm not really happy with it and am not sure if I'm sugarcoating too much or too little...
