first heard this on a Neil doc where two of the other band members pulled out their copy an gave it a spin on camera.
the 90's instrumental surf revival is now at least as old as Dick Dale was 30 years ago.

I saw bits of Neil's movie Human Highway before but never realised how heavily DEVO featured until last week:

Turkish psych for yer troubles

They were playing in Manchester the night after we saw Surfbort last year..I was gonna go but we went to Nandos instead
 
Actually neither did the A side, but only Mick Harris plays on both.
Nic Bullen and Justin Broadrick are on the first side and Lee, Bill, Jimmy on the second with Mick Harris drumming on both sides.
there was a drummer before Mick called Miles Ratledge.
just found Rat's wiki. it's written in Scots dialect!

I knew I was confusing something - mixing up Harris being the only person on both sides with Bullen only being on side A. I don’t think Broadrick was an “original” member? Anyway my recollection was from a time when we didn’t have Wikipedia to check these things :)

I think they were a duo of Nic and Rat to begin with then Justin joined later.
